Creating a Travel Bucket-List

There are many ideas over the internet to inspire your next travel. However, I think bucket lists, even the travel ones, should be very personal and related to the things we each love. Bucket lists can be based on food, museums, people, music, shopping. Although I enjoy all of these, nature and wildlife really warm my heart when I travel, so most of my experiences are related to experiencing nature and mother earth. So this is what my bucket list looks like:

We all have goals and things we want to accomplish before we die. This time, I am leaving my personal goals for another blog post and sharing my travel bucket list. This is a list of the places I want to see, the animals I want to photograph, the people I want to meet, the sounds I want to hear with all my senses and not through my phone before I die. I have already done some things on this list, but I encourage you to sit an afternoon and think of all the things you like and want to do or see next. Making a bucket list is also a moment to recognize and remember all the places you have seen, the people you met, or the moments that made you laugh.

Where to find inspiration?

  1. Prioritize: First of all, think about the things you like to do when you travel. Is it shopping? Museums? Art Galleries? National Parks? Sports? This will define the activities you want to do.

  2. Geography: Now that you know which activities you enjoy the most when you travel, think about which countries of the world you could experience these activities in new ways. If you are into surfing, then Mexico, Portugal, Costa Rica, or Hawaii will be on your list. If you love Tennis, maybe going to Wimbledon or Roland -Garros will be on your bucket list. You will probably think of french pastries, Turkish delights, or matcha Kit-Kats in Japan if you love desserts.

  3. People: Meeting and having friends from different countries will inspire you to visit their hometowns, learn a new language and even listen to new music rhythms.
